If you visit Cusco, be sure to stop by the Mercado Central de San Pedro, located just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The San Pedro Market is a cornucopia of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, artesania, and food stalls that serve traditional, and cheap, Peruvian dishes. You can fill your hungry belly for a mere 5 or 6 soles. More than anything, the market provides visitors with a colorful glimpse of Cusqueños going about their daily lives.
