The Red Sea Experience
On our first day in Jordan (and after a two-hour border crossing experience), we had the opportunity to experience a four hour yacht cruise in the Red Sea. We boarded the yacht in the Aqaba–a Jordanian port city inhabited since 4000 B.C.. Today it’s a beach resort town popular with those seeking water sports, windsurfing, and scuba aficionados.
After a quick stroll through the port area, we boarded a beautiful yacht for our Red Sea excursion.
While out in the Red Sea we were able to view land from four different countries: Jordan, Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
We were also afforded two opportunities to snorkel (and Scuba Dive!) in the Red Sea. The waters were incredibly refreshing, clean, and beautiful. Our first snorkeling spot was over a corral reef area, and our second was over a sunken ship. Both were absolutely amazing.
