Many moons ago, I spent a week in Lisbon with a dear friend. Those seven days were spent exploring its ridiculously cute neighborhoods, bar hopping in Bairro Alto, trekking up and down its hilly streets, eating Pastéis de Nata, and day tripping to the marvelous castles of Sintra. After that holiday, Lisbon shot to the top of my list of all time favorite cities–and I’m dying to return. The weather is absolutely lovely, there are scenic beaches, a mix of old world beauty and modernity, delicious food, and fabulous trams that date to the turn of the 20th century–amongst myriad other delights.
Along with experiencing good food, culture, music, and people–we also took an inordinate number of photos. With us in them. I suppose we were doing our best to channel Naomi Campbell or Linda Evangelista–it may not have worked…but we’ve got some fun photos, and unforgettable memories, nonetheless.
